5 Best Films by Theme Wedding

During this wedding-themed movies are always labeled as cliche.  Every female character in the movie depicted marriage has emotional problems, nagging, and do not feel comfortable.  Then, the way the story always ends with a scene of one of the main characters in a hurry to go to the airport or train station and make a confession of love at the last minute.

However, not all caught up in wedding-themed movies such matters.  Some of them are packed with the language of an intelligent, humorous and has the innovation.  As quoted by the Associated Press, here are the five best wedding film.

1.  The Philadelphia Story (1940).

The movie 'The Philadelphia Story' is one of the classic romantic comedy film which is very popular to this day and never won two Oscars.  The film, directed by George Cukor and written by Philip Barry is played by famous Hollywood actors and actresses, such as Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn.

This film tells the story of a socialite named Tracy Lord (Katharine Hepburn) who is getting married again.  However, Tracy's ex-husband, C.K.  Dexter Haven (Cary Grant) suddenly appeared right before the wedding ceremony and Tracy made the whole plan fell apart.  This film is rated shows more closely on the life of upper class society.

2.  The Princess Bride (1987)

The film 'The Princess Bride' is a fairy tale animated film with great casting, good detail, and made with the energy and tremendous heart.  The film was also rated as one of the best films ever directed by Rob Reiner.

The film begins when his grandfather (Peter Falk) tells a bedtime story to his grandson (Fred Savage).  The fairy tale about a princess, sword fights, pirates, and true love.

Long story short, a beautiful woman, Buttercup (Robin Wright) is going to marry Prince Humperdinck (Chris Sarandon).  However, true love Buttercup only offered to Westley (Cary Elwes), a man thought to have died.

3.  Muriel's Wedding (1994)

The film 'Muriel's Wedding' starring two artists who both just get a big role on the big screen, ie, Toni Collette and Rachel Griffths.

However, both showed great chemistry in the film that tells of the friendship of women and the cult of the music group ABBA.  This film shows the main character named Muriel Heslop (Toni Collete).

Heslop is a tall woman and have a strange personality.  Heslop which has never felt the romance was determined to get out of misery and dreamed of walking in the aisle one day.

However, there is one problem.  Heslop never seeing each other for life.  Long story short, Heslop met with Rhonda who managed to figure it out from a sad life.  They eventually become good friends.  The film, directed by PJ Hogan is considered sweet, funny, heartbreaking, and very honest.

4.  Corpse Bride (2005)


The film 'Corpse Bride' combines stop-motion animation that worked closely with digital technology.  Combined they make every inch of film director Tim Burton, this looks beautiful, funny, sharp, and intelligent style of humor reflecting the director's dark and different.

The film is also filled by the sound of famous actresses and actors, like Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.  The film 'Corpse Bride' tells the story of shy young man who must choose between two women.

The first lady is an arranged marriage the parents.  Meanwhile, a second woman is a figure (undead) from the Land of the Dead who accidentally becomes his wife.  The film 'Corpse Bride' music supported the work of composer Danny Elfman who increasingly turn on the film.

5.  Wedding Crashers (2005)


The film 'Wedding Crashers' is a film that describes the marriage of the male perspective.  This film tells the story of two men coming ruin a wedding and enjoy free food and drinks.

It is hard to deny the chemistry between the two main actors of this film, which Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.  Both bring a subversive energy (damage) into a film that actually makes the film more visible improvisation.  Vaughn and Wilson's appearance is also supported by other actors acting nicely, like Rachel McAdams, Bradley Cooper, Christopher Walken, and Isla Fisher.
